DescriptionThis was sold to me as a prelim, but for the life of me, I can't find ANY difference between this and the published version. It is the movie poster, dvd cover, etc, for the Original Star Trek movie (#3), "The Search for Spock".It's a large piece - it measures 40" x 31". Because it's so large I had to use a camera rather than a scanner, and I can't quite get the colors balanced right. Spock's "blue side" is actually a rather beautiful ultramarine (I think) done with pastel. There's also a lot of colored pencil against the paint base. It's gorgeous. Social/Sharing |

Nice! The only difference I can see is that Sulu's facial expression is different than what was drawn for the published poster. You need the Wrath of Kahn poster next and then you'll be my new hero.

While not a Star Trek fan, you cannot argue the attractiveness of a Bob Peak poster!!

40" x 31" seems a bit large for a prelim . . . gotta be the finished painting, surely?
