Description

I came across this beauty on Nico Risso's website, nrissoart.com, where Nico has slowly built an eclectic roster of artists to represent.

One of them is Pablo De Bonis. While I wasn't familiar with his work, I've got a soft spot for artists with a high contrast style and Pablo definitely fits that bill.

This one, in particular, immediately grabbed my eye. In addition to having a healthy dose of the contrast I love, his gritty take on DD descending to the depths below reminded me of the brilliant Charlie Cox in the live action show, which I have fond memories of watching with two of my oldest comic buddies.

It's has the vibes of the show's hallway fight and he's descending into the next level on his way to the boss.

The lighting on that staircase and railings is wicked cool. And DD looks tough in the way an MMA fighter does... you would not want to f**k with him.
