Description

Here is Sean Murphy's character design for Leeward done in preparation for his 10 issue story with writer, Scott Synder in 2014. This character design was published in the director's cut of issue #1 (August 28th, 2014) and again in the hardcover trade (November 11th, 2014). I was lucky enough to get this piece signed by Sean at the NC Comicon in Durham, NC on November 15, 2014.

You may notice in the published image below from the issue #1 director's cut we were not given Leeward's name since the 2nd arc of the book was not out yet. However, the image published in the hardcover does have her name listed in the published page.

It's also neat to look at the earlier prelim below and see the visual parallels Sean brought to Lee and Leward to connect the two arcs of the story.

Cool pickups! I didn't like The Wake as much as Sean's other Image books, but seeing these character sheets makes me want to give it another try.
