Description

My first Frazetta-Williamson artwork. I always wanted to add a piece from a Western-comic these two did together. Artistically the John Wayne Adventure stories seem far away from the beauty and quality of their collaboration on 50 Girls 50 or Buster Crabbe comics f.e.but the stories represent the Golden Age of Comics and the famous "Fleagles".

The page is from probably the first published collaboration of Frazetta and Williamson (April 1950). Some sources note that the story "The Blue Lightnin' Twins!" where this page is from is penciled and inked by both Frazetta and Williamson. So I give credit to both as inker and penciller.
