I think Mignola is a brilliant storyteller and the most important creator not with Marvel or DC in last 25 years. This is wonderful and Lobster Johnson is the man.

Great cover Hans. Seems like just yesterday I bought this from Mike at SD and held it for a day before my friend Gaetano bought it from me. One of the very best!!

I actually thought you forgot about that! Yes, I got it from Lance back in 1999 - same show he got it at SDCC - GOOD TIMES! I held the thing until 2014. Hated to let it go, but it is what it is. The piece now resides in a "most spectacular" collection with one of the nicest guys out there - GO HANS!

Very nice. With the passage of time, TCoW emerges as one of the better/more-memorable HB stories and the distinct end of a major chapter in HB history.

I love the movie poster feel of the cover. Mike's art style reached an interesting midpoint on this arc, as it still retained many of the more solid aspects of his earlier Hellboy stories, even as it drifted towards the more abstract style that reached its apotheosis on Hellboy in Hell.
