Description

Mike told me this was the first piece of advertising he drew for the Hellboy movie reboot released in 2019. It was seen as banner art at the Cannes Film Festival and for billboard signs in the U.S.

The art is rendered in two separate parts with the left side featuring Hellboy and the right side the Blood Queen.

Awesome! I drive past this poster just about every day and have wondered what the artwork was originally done for--now I know! Great image and fun to see Mignola doing something more traditionally movie-postery (close up, looking towards camera) as opposed to his more collage-like cover compositions.
