Description

I had this done by Billy Tucci over the course of two San Diego Comic-Cons. It started off with The Punisher and Captain America in their war fatigues. Unfortunately, Billy wasn't able to finish it before I had to pick it up to be graded. He asked me to bring it back the following year so he could finish it. Over that year I had wanted to add a third character, Nick Fury. So I got Fury done early on in the show. Billy incorporated Fury really well with the first two figures but now there was a conspicuous space on the back cover perfect for another figure. A couple of days later and I came back requesting the Winter Soldier to complete the quartet.

Why is the Punisher in this and dressed up as a WWII soldier? He fought in Vietnam

The Punisher's uniform is still fairly similar to a Vietnam-era US Marine Corps uniform, though without the characteristic flak jacket. It's also not meant to be a strictly WWII piece but more a slection of Marvel's military characters. Captain America and Nick Fury are certainly associated with WWII, but the Frank Castle is a Vietnam character and while Bucky was there in WWII, he was not the Winter Soldier until afterwards
