DescriptionHi everyone! This is my second Dave Stevens cover, and my personal favorite of his entire portfolio. What can I say? I like brunettes! The Halloween theme is cool too (take note of the severed head in the pile! - pretty cool!). Thanks to Brian for the sale and Gene Park for seeing this and alerting me that it was available. Good friends in this hobby are worth their weight in gold! Thanks Gene - I owe you one! Hope you all enjoy it. PS, I now own two of the eight Dave Stevens poster art that Eclipse did back in 1986 - this cover and the cover to World of Wood #2.Social/Sharing |

Just looking at this when it came up for sale. Worth every penny...I know it was a brinks truck full of pennies:-)This was probably my favorite cover and still have the issue I bought from Page after Page Comics in Las Vegas nearly 30 years ago.

Your SECOND cover????? Yeah, just go ahead and rub it in. Especially for those of us who don't have any Stevens art at all. Not even a measly sketch. LOL! Seriously, congratulations on this beauty!

If I were to own five pieces of art by anybody, this would be one of the five. This is easily my favorite pencil and ink piece created by Dave.

This is such a stellar find, Hari. From the devilish glint in her eye down to the mostly hidden corpse buried among the pumpkins. I could look at this one for a long time.

This cover was on its way to being considered classic when it was on the stands. Fantastic example.

Sweet. Getting the art to the DNAgents/Rainbow poster is your next challenge!

Dave was so good during this period. So many classics from that time: AIRBOY, JONNY QUEST, CROSSFIRE, DNAGENTS...this is a nice one, too, congrats Hari! And this is the first time I've noticed that head amongst the pumpkins...where was I looking all this time?:P

But that's the mark of just how nice this "good girl" art is - you can't take your eyes off the main image unless someone forces you to look somewhere else.
