Description

Absolutely stunning piece by the great Alex Nino. "Gruaga" was a graphic novel written and illustrated by Alex Nino in 1966. In the late 70's, he put out The Dark Suns of Gruaga Portfolio and this piece was one of the plates from it. I know I had this portfolio at one point back in the late 80s or early 90's but I think it got lost in one of my many moves back then.

No one express freedom as an artist more than Nino.He's not anchored or dictated by any bullshit rules.He creates what he feels and it's liberating to see all the different styles and techniques Nino use.
