Castellini's skill for world building and dramatic tension is all on this cover. The sci-fi feel of the cover comes from the industrial look of the corridor and the lived in feel caused by his use of splatter. The fantastical comes the the mysterious contraption and what he's seeing through it.

In my opinion one of the most iconic cover of the entire Nathan Never run by Claudio as cover artist. Masterpiece.
