DescriptionOne of the color paintings Bill Sienkiewicz did for the movie, proposals for the movie poster. Sadly they went with photography instead, but used his designs. This is the crown jewel of my collection, and this photo nowhere near does it justice. Never to be sold, unless I am beyond destitute. Very cool piece. Congrats. Thanks, what I paid back in the day, while plenty, seems like a steal now. My niece has already claimed it after I kick the bucket. She's a bigger Eastwood fan than I am. And I'm getting her started on art, too.

One of my favorite western movies of all time, and in my opinion this painting would have done better than the original photo cover. A real Gem you got here!

Wow...had no idea this was originally a Sienkiewicz assignment. "Iconic" gets tossed around easily, but it fits here.

Stunning! Thanks for sharing, otherwise, I would never have known the movie poster was based on Bill's design.

Count me among those who did not know that Bill Sienkiewicz was the designer of this classic image; congratulations on a stunning painting!

One of my favorite movies.Stunned by my own ignorance here. This is an iconic image but I did not know Bill was the major creator/influence.I truly understand why this bad boy is a permanent keeper.

Magnificent! For some reason this painting reminds me of Fabry's cover for Preacher Book II. Maybe because they're both such powerful and arresting images. I also had no idea about Bill's involvement in Unforgiven - lovely stuff!
