I saw an ad in the classifieds in the back of a Comics Buyers Guide by a guy named Roger Hill offering this hand colored piece for sale. There wasn't even a picture of the art! But, I was a big fan of Kaluta's work and by purchasing the art I ended up becoming friends with Roger, one of the leading collectors of original comic art in the world. That friendship introduced me to the artists that I idolized, other collectors and a passion for "The Story" behind each piece of art. Roger bought this directly from Kaluta and sat and watched him color it.
The Frazetta Gauntlet prelim got me started. This Kaluta piece got me hooked!

Really nice cover-thanks for posting it. The colors he used do a great job of accenting the line art.
