DescriptionI don't know what all I can say about this page. The start of a near quarter-century tradition of yearly team-ups between the JLA and JSA... the first Silver Age appearance of Dr. Fate and Hourman. The third Silver Age appearance of the Earth 2 heroes. Add to that, a classic group shot of the JLA, with Superman and Batman and some goofy-as-heck DC SA dialogue... A piece of comics history, my friends. Enjoy!Social/Sharing |

Dig that mid-century furniture! I didn't realize the JSA were such hipsters. Epic page!

Roger - Black Canary had previously had a Silver Age appearance in THE FLASH #129, pages 5-6. This is still a great page, though!

Volthoom! (I was hoping after saying Volthoom, this page would vibrate out of your collection and fall helplessly into mine. Darn. Maybe that only works on pages from issue 29.)

See? I told you this was well beyond the significance of the Thunda page!

About as good a period piece Sekowsky representation of his JLA / JSA work as you could find! Wonderful!

That truly is an historic page Roger. Just the kind of pages I'm, feebly, trying to add to my collection

Even without the “first appearance” quality, this is a knockout page.

I'll trade you a small beach house, made out of sand...or is that called a sandcastle? Only joking. What a fabulous page to have.

You know what I love about pages like this? Everything, actually, but most of all, they bring back the wonderful memory of the smell of newsprint.
Ahhhhhhhh.
