I asked Mr Vess if I could have his pencil that he used to draw the Black Suit Spidey-Man commission and he graciously gave it to me upon completion of the drawing!

I always loved Charles Vess’ Cover for Web of Spider-Man issue 1 !!! This full-body commission of Spidey swinging along a full moon is so nostalgic for me and brings me back to my childhood , seeing his gorgeous Spider-Man covers ! Art is pencilled on artist’s paper and measures 11.5 x 14 inches ! Thank you Mr Vess !!! I’ll treasure this beauty forever. Social/Sharing |

I agree. I know a Vess piece from a mile away because he has such a unique looking art style. With unlimited funds I'd have a comprehensive gallery devoted just to him.

Fantastic art and you're very lucky . Getting art from Charles in this era is tough and finding vintage Spiderman even tougher . I love mine . Congrats
