Description

1960's Original by D.C. War Artist Jerry Grandenetti. Looks like a recreation of sorts of one of his gray tone covers (Our Fighting Forces?) but done in a different style. I've never seen a war cover of his that was painted in color before.
When I was a kid back in the 1960's I lived for war comics and Doc Savage. Pizza too. OK, girls also.
To be able to get a nice colorful piece like this was a treat for. I can still remember the day Blazing Combat #1 came out. In my mind I can go back to that day as if it was yesterday. I guess that's what this is all about for me.
