Description

This illustration is from "Here Gather the Stars" by Clifford D. Simak and was published by Galaxy in August 1963. I was lucky enough to acquire this illustration from a very good friend because it is from one of my all time favorite science fiction novels. In 1964, the two parts of "Here Gather the Stars" were collected and published in book form as "Way Station" which promptly won the Hugo Award for Best Novel. I am very fortunate to have an illustration by Wally Wood from one of my favorite SF novels!

Great Illustration for a great book. One of those must-read books that leaves you with a lasting, poetic memory. I only discovered the illustrated version a little later, and these illustrations further enhance the novel.
