Description

Alex Toth: My Only Love #3 "The Loveliest of All" Splash Page (Charlton, 1975). Toth redefined the romance genre with his work for Standard Comics in the 1950s; however, many aficionados feel Alex drew his finest work in the '70s for DC and Charlton. "The Loveliest of All" remains the sole love story Alex drew for Charlton Comics. Unlike many of his DC pages, this splash was inked by Alex with a brush and ink on paper, so there's no marker fading apparent in the artwork. The lettering is however slightly faded. Image area 10" x 15".

The title lettering is the loveliest of all title lettering I have seen in a long time. This is quite an eye-catching splash. Big congrats on landing it, Lars!
