So proud to finally own a page from one of my favorite series of all time: Batman & Robin Adventures! From a story written by the amazing Paul Dini, penciled by Ty Templeton, inked by Rick Burchett and lettered by Richard Starkings. Talk about an all-star team!
The Animated Batman books were my gateway into American comics. I started at age 11 reading Batman Adventures in Dutch translations. Once Batman & Robin Adventures came out I switched to the original comics and learned to read English that way (that, together with Bone). This series is very close to my heart and I learned a lot of my storytelling sensibilities from these books.
Just check out the amazing crystal clear composition and storytelling by Templeton on this page. Leading the eye elegantly across the page in a Z-movement.

I know some pages are great with just a glance at a thumbnail size image. This is one of those pages. So strong.
