Ace D-517b. Beautiful John Schoenherr cover painting for "The Trouble with Tycho" by Clifford Simak. Published by Ace Books as Ace D-517 in 1961. This was the last of the Ace D series of science fiction doubles and the following month they started the Ace F series of doubles.

Great artwork, with possibly the most obscure piece of information I have read this week in the description. ' This was the last of the Ace D series of science fiction doubles and the next month they began the F series. '....On reflection it is the most obscure piece of information I read or heard this week.

This was my favorite of the offerings.
it's so good in person, I love the mountains and contrast directly to the clean red sands.
