Description

I adore Parlov�s work, follow him on any projects he is associated with and find he is one of the very best current artists and storytellers in the comic biz�.

After owning both a Fury and Punisher piece from Goran, I wanted my next commission to be something different.

I really appreciate the way he draws women which I find quite sexy. So a woman it was.

I had a super hero in mind but he didn�t seem super enthusiastic. Then out of the blue, I mentioned Red Sonja and he raised his head to tell me it was one of his all-time favorites.

I asked if it was because of Frank Thorne (whose version of the She Devil is definitive in my book) and he replied: of course!

Red Sonja it was!

Though she is not in combat pose, I think Goran perfectly nailed her. She looks super sexy and dangerous at the same time. I think he paid a great homage to Thorne�s version (the eyes!) by way of his own style as she definitely looks like a Parlov piece.

This came out great! And as Goran seemed excited to do it...I'm sure that had a part in the execution! I like the straight up pose and the tilted perspective. Nice face, too. Congrats, man!
