Description

I'm admittedly late to the game when it comes to Jorge Zaffino, as his period of peak production in American comics came during the time when I was primarily into the X-books and, later on, early Image (ugh) titles. I'd like to think that my tastes have evolved since that time, so last year, at the suggestion of Tommy Lee Edwards, I picked up the IDW reissue of Winterworld and was instantly hooked. Looking back, you can see Zaffino's influence in the work of a number of artists from the last decade, guys like TLE, JP Leon, and Sean Murphy.

Fast forward to this year. Roger Clark had this Winterworld page up for sale on his CAF, and I jumped at the chance to pick it up (a late Christmas/early birthday present to myself). Hopefully this won't be my last Zaffino page!

Awesome page, Zaffino but so much energy into this book. Even the quite pages have tension, look at that last panel. Great pick up!
