DescriptionThe sun and the moon were aligned for me to acquire this piece:On March 20 2015 – same date as the spring equinox – the moon turns new only 14 hours after reaching lunar perigee – moon’s closest point to Earth in its orbit. Thus this moon is a supermoon – at the new phase – not visible in our sky, but having a larger-than-average effect on Earth’s oceans. Plus this new supermoon swings right in front of the equinox sun on March 20, so that the moon’s shadow falls on parts of Earth. The eBay winner did not pay so I was contacted by the seller and offered the piece. I came in third so that meant another passed. This piece will have a prime spot on my man cave wall but I may need to devise a screening mechanism as I'm already getting lost in its brilliance and distracted from what I should be working on. Concrete is virtually forgotten by comics readers today but this is a really nice example you've acquired. Congrats on the good deal!

Amazing wraparound cover by Paul Chadwick. This is probably one of the nicest Concrete covers I've seen.

Must have missed this on eBay. Dang! Concretes one of those things I periodically re-read, and Paul's an old friend. Congrats!!

Just wonderful - like all Paul Chadwick's work, in addition to the masterly detail, it has a real calming beauty. Congrats on getting this - don't think I'd have been able to restrain myself if I'd seen it on Ebay...
