Description

Batman 197 was the 1st Silver Age appearance of Catwoman in the Batman titles and her look was inspired by the 60's Batman show. I am so pleased to have run across this recreation, by DC great Carmine Infantino and Frank McLaughlin. The stats weren't on the original piece, and were added later.

Frank worked with Carmine on projects in the 80's and they recently agreed to recreate some of Carmine's classic covers. Both of them go back decades in the business, with Frank editing at Charlton Comics - including inking Steve Ditko. Carmine penciled this cover, and the original - which was inked by Mike Esposito.
