Description

One of the very few auctions this year where I was the high bidder. I am a huge Michael Golden fan, so I was surprised and delighted to actually add it to my collection.

(from HA): Michael Golden only worked on one issue of Doctor Strange for Marvel, so he was an unlikely choice to create illustrations for a portfolio starring the Master of the Mystic Arts. The talented artist, influenced by Steve Ditko's original interpretation of the characters, produced striking images, including this haunting image of Strange's encounter with Nightmare. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image size of 11" x 14".

Wonderfully leans into the horror aspects of the character! It virtuously and triumphantly presents a Doctor Strange that pays tribute to the Ditko roots.
