I couldn't get my dimes out fast enough when I saw this on the stands. It's as close to perfection as comic book art probably gets and it remains in my top ten covers of all time.

it was notable because it was one of the few paintings that appeared on a DC cover. And a combination of painting and pen/ink to boot.
