DescriptionThis is the cover to the 1985 Transformers trade paperback that collected the first four Marvel issues. I believe the artist is Armando Gil, though a signature or editorial remarks aren't present. While not Bill Sienkiewicz's iconic Transformers #1 cover, I'm thrilled to own this stunning, and massively oversized swipe. One small detail not obvious in the picture is Optimus' left fist is a separate piece applied on some kind of dimensional tape, giving it a little more 'pop'.Social/Sharing |

Very modern edge 80's! It follows a lot of what the Japanese painters did with Transformers using fine airbrushes, crystal sharp lines, and excellent glow!
