The most astonishing thing is that the sorceress had the Comics Code Authority seal of approval. Completely luscious.

Even though he did quite a bit of work for Marvel (often inking other artists like Windsor-Smith or Gil Kane), when I think of Sutton's own distinctive penciling/inking style, I'm more likely to associate it with Warren or Charlton (perhaps more so the latter). However, this splash is a nice example of the talents that he brought to Marvel when he was inking himself.

Amazing page. I really wish I'd bought this when it came up for sale some years back. The would-be sorceress' euphoria was pretty short-lived in that story, once the demon Ehrthold appeared. Great buy.
