Description

For me, this page epitomizes nostalgia within original comic art collecting. I remember reading the Age of Apocalypse storyline and reading X-men: Omega with such anticipation. Back then, I didn't know what a pull list was so I didn't even get to read this book when it came out since it was sold out! I had to save up my money, sacrifice other titles I was reading to buy a copy from the comic shop at four times the cover price. I remember opening the sleeve and pulling out the wonderful chromium cover copy and turning to this page and begin reading. This page 1 splash of Magneto standing on a mountain of skulls, ready to fight Apocalypse to the death was the best way to start off the climax to the amazing storyline. What's better than having one of the best all-time X-men villains, who we all love to root for even as a villain, be the hero of the story! Plus, toss in an alternate reality and distopian world, all revolving around Apocalypse and I'm in heaven!

I was very fortunate to have been given a great deal by Eric Delos Santos on this piece. It will be a treasure in my collection. Thanks Eric!

Hmm, for some reason I think it actually looks better in your gallery than in mine. Or maybe I just miss it already. LOL! I guess it was just meant to be with you. Thanks for a really fun and interesting transaction! (Wink!) So glad this piece found the right home!
