Nothing subtle here about this splash. The horror inducing image causes a spike in adrenaline as there is no hope of survival. Risso shows just enough and keeps the rest in shadow to allow the audience to inject their own fears.

Scary good stuff! Love his use of shadow. Does so much with a more "minimal" approach. Congrats!

Frightening splash page! Love the downlighting on the Alien looming over its two victims. The rich blacks make this page absolutely terrifying.
