Description

This cover really stood out to me during the first year of the post-crisis WW reboot by George Perez in the late 80s. Wonder Woman, back against the wall, pointing a pistol at an onrushing wave of discombobulated arms and hands? It's like she was transported into an EC horror comic. Of course, this scene never actually happens in the issue, but it sure made for a great Perez cover! When I saw this come up for auction at Heritage recently, it immediately became the piece that I most wanted, so to actually end up with it was a real thrill. Looks even more beautiful in person.

Stunning cover by George Perez for Wonder Woman. It's almost a scene from an EC Horror comic with all these disembodied arms coming at the Amazon from all sides and her armed only with an automatic to stop them. Great cover by one of the masters of comic art.
