So thrilled with this latest commission from the always incredible Dave Leri. He really knocked it out on this one! I�d been on his commission list for years and when my name finally came up, we were struggling a bit to come up with a concept. I mentioned that I�d been wanting to add some more Middle Earth inspired art to my collection and that I also loved his forest and tree work. He�s stayed away from Tolkien art for a variety of reasons, but somehow, I got him to change his mind - if only once! - and he came up with this idea. It�s not explicitly from any of the books, but could be a scene between the Hobbit and The Fellowship. Needless to say, I�m super pleased with how it out. Thanks Dave!

Update: Just found out that this piece will be published in Infected by Art 10. Congrats to Dave!

So many details on this piece showing extreme patience and skill. Must have taken a long time to put it together!
