I can't say enough good things about this piece. I was and still am a huge fan of the old Sunbow Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon. I have been wanting to do a epic piece from this series for a while. Choosing the right artist for the job was paramount. Along comes Daniel Govar who I met last year at HeroesCon when I picked up my Baroness piece from him. I was blown away by his ability to draw dragons. So this idea started cooking in my head over the next year. Maybe he is the one to get on this one. So I contacted him before this years show and gave him a couple options and he jumped at this idea. It turns out he is a huge fan of the old cartoon too. This commission turned into one of the most epic pieces I have gotten from an artist. Seriously, Govar did so good on this one, I think it would be hard for him to top it. He also has prints of this piece, so if you like it, go buy one at a show that he attends.

I think this is Govar's very best piece- certainly the best I've seen! I'm a big D&D fan too- and he's really showcased each character's abilities perfectly!

I totally agree. It would be hard to come up with a more epic piece for him to paint. I love all his work but this is my favorite too. Also Daniel used it as the first page in this years sketch book.
