DescriptionSpace Riders # 2 (Volumen Uno) sequence - pages 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12Art by Alexis Ziritt Written by Fabian Rangel Jr Published by Black Mask Comics - May 13, 2015 I first met Alexis and Fabian in 2014 at HeroesCon and randomly picked up the Space Riders preview comic because of the cover art alone. The book contained 4 black and white pages and a few sketches. At the time the two were using the preview to shop the story to publishers and it would ultimately get picked up by Black Mask Studios and debut in 2015. Space Riders has definitely become one of my favorite new comics in the past few years. It feels familiar and fresh at the same time due a lot to the edge and grit of Ziritt's art and color choices. It's been exciting to see the book grow in popularity while the issues sell out and have gone to multiple prints and on to HIGH prices on eBay. I am thrilled to own this 6-page sequence from the first arc. It not only features the first appearance of the femme fatale space wizard, Dona Barbara, but also contains Mono's origin, Yara's origin, and what has become a classic panel about coffee. Coffee is a reoccurring theme in Fabian's writing. Many thanks to Alexis and Neil at Out Of Step Arts for making these happen. It was also great seeing the top right panel from page 11 used for a Newbury Comics trading card. ![]() Social/Sharing |

Love Space Riders, Fabian, and Alexis's art. It's so amazing you were able to score such important pages from this book. This is a jaw dropping set of sequential pages. I feel panel pages are what comics are all about and these have some extraordinary single panels, I'm jealous! Also love your collection bud, kudos.

Wow. What a great run of pages! Really enjoy Ziritt and his quirky/expressive style. Met him in Charlotte at Heroes this year and actually had a late night dinner with him and Fabian; they were a ton of fun to hang out with - great dudes. I love his style and extremely jealous of this run you have of his. Great job!
