Description

Being a huge X-23 fan I was obviously delighted when I was able to add this page to my collection. It features not just a "killer" drawing of Laura by the master David Finch, I also consider it to be one of the most iconic X-23 comic book panels ever published. And not just visually, because it's also one of the most important moments in Laura's history. It shows her at arguably her most brutal as she decides to play "very bad cop" for Wolverine's interrogation of a defeated enemy. Her approach does work as watching the other captive get killed loosens the tongue of the remaining villain, but it's also the moment that tweaks Logan's paternal instincts enough to decide it's time to get her off X-Force, the secret squad of X-Men killers put together by Cyclops. Logan was opposed to including X-23 from the start and this conflict with Cyclops eventually escalated and led to the Schism storyline that divided the X-Men into two factions.
