DescriptionCable + Quicksilver re-design / concept artby Ryan Stegman A rare look at Ryan Stegman's character re-design / concept art to launch Cable in his and Gerry Duggan's run on Uncanny Avengers (Vol 3) in 2015. The full board also contains a head sketch, which has concept of Cable's mask and some sketches of Quicksliver's costume re-design. Series writer, Gerry Duggan told Marvel.com, "He’s such a fun character, and I love his powers. This is metal-arm swinging, pre-cog flashing, TK-slinging, twinkling eye Cable." Very cool! Nice redesign but still clearly Cable...gotta have the gear! There were some great Cable shots from Stegman's run and it all started here. Congrats!

The Duggan/Stegman version of Cable during this Uncanny Avengers run was one of the better written versions of Cable in the last while. Certainly better than the shrunken left arm version in Hopeless/Larroca's Cable & X-Force of 2012. Although, Salvador Larroca's art was great. Wasn't a fan of the Spurrier/Kim version in X-Force (2014) either. This version in Uncanny with his AI in his bionic arm, TK powers back, was totally bad ass! Thanks for sharing!

I remember being in Ryan's studio one day and this was sitting on his desk. It floored me. I feebly tried to talk him into sending it home with me. I really love it. Cool to see it landed with you!
