DescriptionMove over Potts, Mrs Arbogast's got Tony covered. This is the prime era I grew up reading Iron Man and the storyline involving Tony losing the use of his legs always intrigued me. This page hit quite a few sweet spots with the swooping shot, the changing machine, the "coded cybernetic signal", and it also reads as character guide for "stressed out Tony" with the camera rotating all over the place to keep the action fresh through a talking heads sequence. I'm delighted. The dialogue is snappy and informative, immediately clueing you into the situation. Fun fact, this page, coincidentally, ties in almost directly with the Avengers vol 3 #32 page I have in which the same Madam Masque situation is being played out that this issue of Iron Man deals with. Avengers 32 And you can also see Tony in his massive, floating mobility-chair. Sorry, that's a chunky sentence. David Michelinie and Bob Layton get writing co-credits. Nice! Social/Sharing |

How about the Krackle in that Flat-top!
no wonder his name is Rhodes - head looks like perfect asphalt streetway!

Love the pics of both in and out of the suit, plus the dialog that reflects the demons Tony has always struggled with!

A beautifully rendered Iron Man by Paul Smith! Smitty's figures are always so fluid and animated. This is a great page; congratulations!

Nice example from the era as you note. Tony's seen better days for sure, and that's evident here! Congrats!
