DescriptionIt's Ms Marvel day!I could talk about the complicated relationship that exists within me between my home of genetic origin and my New World cultural home, but that sounds very boring. Instead I'll say that Kamala Khan is a character that reflects my internal dichotomy. I'm thrilled that she exists, and continues to thrive. Rian's art has been taking Jiggy's livestreams by storm, and I'm very happy to add this representation to the collection. Impeccably finished, absolutely adorable, and cheekily winking at the odd choice to name a new character after an old, yet still existing, character. Social/Sharing |

It definitely is Ms Marvel day. Episode 1 was off to a great start. Great pickup, and great cover. Looking forward to the rest of the show!

Great write up for an absolutely charming piece. I don't think it was a deliberate homage, but I can't help but think of Miller's 'Wolverine' #1 cover but with just a big ol' FIST instead of all the claws. I can't help but giggle about that, and smile when I see this. Great "theme" posting, and I'm looking forward to taking in the show later on! Congrats, M L!

Just to add a "missing link" to your homage chain, this is more an homage of the David Lopez Captain Marvel #1 cover, which may or may not be an homage of the Wolverine cover. But big fist instead of claws is also fun :)

Very cool Kamala piece, congrats! Thought the first episode of the Ms. Marvel show was delightful. Nice to see brown people culture/s represented on screen in the MCU, I believed that family! Hope you enjoy.

I absolutely agree with this! I snuggled up with my girls, and we watched a hero to whom they could relate. Great experience.

What's old is new again. I've always wondered if this characters name usage was like a metaphor for that old trope. This cover is gorgeous, too. The pose is perfect for the character, and I love the color work, which we usually don't get. Sweet score. Congrats!
