DescriptionThis one I got from Neal Adams and family during one of his shows in 2021. The piece has the sunset color scheme that he made famous in Batman 244 and of course there is the classic Bat symbol shadow. Even in his later years, he made a difference to collectors by offering high quality work that was up to his standards in varied price ranges. It was important that he had these pieces on his shows as a gift to the fans and as part of his legacy to his family. A hero to many and a legend to all, he guided the industry into maturity and opened doors for all who came after.Rest in Peace. Social/Sharing |

I haven't stopped and stared at a piece on CAF for this long in quite some time. Truly a remarkable Batman piece from an even more remarkable man. RIP Neal.

This is a nice way to remember Neal Adams. He and Denny O'Neil gave us the Batman we know and love today and helped invent comics as literature in the process.

Great Neal piece! Sad to hear about his passing, but it is great he was able to produce high level work while also working with his family and doing what he loved until the end. A Legend.

I was first exposed to his work as a 10 year old back in 1969, when my mom bought me a issue of X-Men which he did. He was and still is, my main influence towards becoming a artist. There are so many of us which he influenced and if it wasn't for him, you probably wouldn't have Jim Lee and his fans , being involved in the business. RIP Neal and thanks for the great artwork.

Growing up, if Neal did the cover of a comic, there was a high percentage chance that comic would get my 12¢/15¢/20¢/etc. pocket change, and the chance went up exponentially if that cover had Batman on it. Batman running was Neal's specialty, and I love how he drew Batman's shadow as the classic Bat-symbol.

Well put in the description, Marcus. This classic Adams image of Batman has always appealed to me and color treatment here is spectacular. Perfect composition and wonderful design in every aspect of the drawing. It has a poignant feel to it given yesterday's news, but what a lecacy he left behind.

That's a real testament to his greatness. The graphic cape shape use as a storytelling instrument, the symbolic yet appropriate shadow in perspective, the unsettling horizon. . . thanks for sharing another perfect piece from your museum!

A really beautiful piece done by a giant in the comics industry ! Congrats on your pick-up and I'm thankful to have met him on several occasions at Comic Con all those years my wife and I used to go to!

Gorgeous piece! Classic Neal running pose with swooping cape, but that shadow is super cool! Great color scheme in the background too. Amazing pickup from a legend I will miss greatly.

Great selection from the Master of the DC bronze era (and more). This is a stunning example of Neal's signature look. He was a giant in the industry and will be missed. Thanks for sharing!

Love the super classic vibe of this but with a contemporary bent. The color work is outstanding with that red to yellow sky providing a great contrast against a charging Batman. And the bat symbol shadow. GREAT touch. The late great Adams doing his thing, no doubt. RIP.
