I'm checking this post out because it's in Marcus Wai's gallery...but that said, DWJ's Absolute Batman might be my favorite version/illustration of the character outside of Dragotta! So sick! With the Kickstarter doing so well, and with you doing such an amazing job promoting free t-shirts, it seems inevitable this makes the cut for the art book! Or at least for the volume 2 if it's too late to stop the presses. Too sweet!

He's so gigantic, no piece of paper could ever contain him! Looks like he's passed the eight and now working on a ten-pack. Five thousand crunches per day will do that for anyone!

I love seeing superstar artists intetrpet these amazingly designed Absolute characters. Great piece! Gets me excited for DWJs Batman annual coming up.

I mean come on... this is so damn good. Excellent grab good sir! If you hadn't, I feel like this drawing would pop right off the paper and punch a hole straight through your chest cavity for passing on it.

Fabulous drawing of Absolute Batman by the amazing Daniel Warren Johnson! Love the way DWJ draws Batman here, all shoulders and abs with a tiny little head. Love the spikes poking out of his shoulders and the tight bands around his forearms. Somehow, even in a still portrait like this one, DWJ manages to convey a sense of movement and power without needing to show Batman in action! I also love DWJ's inks here, strong bold brushstrokes that convey Batman's solidity and weight. Superb pick-up, congrats!
