How is it that no one has commented on this exquiiste Bettie Page cover by the great Olivia De Bernardis? I personally love this cover. Olivia has truly captured the allure of Bettie. The look in Bettie's eyes seems to assess the viewer with a withering glance. It suggests Bettie is not a mere cover girl, she is a woman in control. Love Olivia's fantastic painting technique. She knows how to render her subjects beautifully. Gorgeous color on this cover. The silver hair on Bettie is a surprise element--It's like Olivia rendered everything in detail, but stopped at the hair. Interesting artistic choice. Anyway, it's a stunnning painting. Serious congrats on a great pick-up!
