DescriptionSTGCC '15.16 x 20 inches. I had been talking to Allison because I've been wanting an Adam Hughes piece for a long time. Before Spider-Gwen, I really didn't have any favorite super-heroine. So even though I wanted something from Adam, I wouldn't know what I would choose and it would probably be a Catwoman or Black Cat as I really didn't have a favorite back then but I know Adam does those two exceptionally well. Spider-Gwen changed that for me. And I asked Allison if Adam was doing a Spider-Gwen cover, and turned out he was! But, unfortunately I was second in line and the first person decided to buy it. I was a bit disappointed but somewhat relieved when I learned that the cover has Spider-Gwen with the mask on. I wanted one with the mask off since I wanted to see Gwen's face because after all Adam draws the most beautiful female faces. Fast forward a bit, I was keeping in touch with Allison and one day she broke the good news that Adam had started doing another Spider-Gwen and that I can have the option to buy it. And it's going to be unmasked! I jumped with joy. However... turned out Marvel didn't want another Spider-Gwen cover from Adam, so I told Allison I would still pick it up even though it's not a cover because it's Spider-Gwen unmasked. That's the story as to why it is on a large piece of paper. Because Adam normally does his cover on large papers. It melt my heart the first time I saw her face and then again when I picked it up in person in Singapore. Adam rarely does full color pieces so I felt very very fortunate to be able to purchase a full color piece from him. Adam and Allison are truly one of the friendliest couple I've met in a convention. I really can't thank Adam and Allison enough to make this happen. Finally I can display this gem in my game room. Thank you so much, Adam and Allison! UPDATE: I just learned that this was made into NC Comic Con 2015 program book cover. So excited! Social/Sharing |

For the mattes they are just the color elements of what we see here with the exception of the face because I wanted the face to stand out.

This is AH! At his absolute best IMHO. Nothing cheesecakey here, nothing over the top. A great looking piece that complements the character. Well done. Congrats.

Beautiful! And nice story! There's an awful lot of Spider-Gwen haters, and I am definitely not one of them! The costume looks good and it's nice to see Gwen's face all in the comics again! Congrats.

So excited to see you score this Grail piece ! Adam is comic book royalty and that coupled with an awesomely cool visual like Spider Gwen had to yield epic results !!!

But this one is definitely up there in my book. I just can't describe the feeling I got when I first saw it in person :)

What is the media used? I hope he used copic markers on it so that they won't fade over time. Very nice SG!
