John's Submariner covers all stand out as memorable, but this is my favorite! Beautiful!

Strangely enough, I had a chance to buy the ORIGINAL cover to this many, many years ago! So seeing this brings back bittersweet memories. Buscema did such a great job with those first few issues, and Mike captures that quality perfectly with this tribute.

Ha! Just realized my mistake! Mike does such a great job with these recreations that I mistook this for one of his! I guess that's one way to compliment the guy!

Gorgeous recreation by John Buscema of one of his greatest covers ever--Submariner #5! This is the issue that featured the first appearance of Tiger Shark, a fearsome villain who would plague Namor for years to come! Love John's rendition of Tiger Shark, making him bigger and more powerful than even the Prince of Atlantis! Here he seems to roar his triumph, having just captured Lady Dorma. But in the background,. we can see Namor racing to her rescue ready to battle the arrogant Tiger Shark and free his lady! Man, this one has everything you could want in a Sub-Mariner story! Fabulous pick-up, congrats!.
