Description

This is the beautiful cover art published in 1953 as Rose and The Flame, by well known mid 20th century illustrator Michael Silver. The film "Kiss of Fire" from 1955 starring Jack Palance was adapted from this book. The medium used appears to be oil on illustration board, which is HUGE.

Board Size: 26" x 38"

With Frame: 32" x 44"

I'm offering this piece on behalf of the owner, who is looking for a quick sale. The estimated value of the piece within the vintage paperback art market is $1800-$2200, but with the owner not being a collector and just wanting to place it in a caring home as quickly as possible, told me to offer it for $1200. Also, although the shipping/packing cost for this item is approximately $100-$150 depending what State it goes to, the owner will absorb that cost, so the final price delivered to anyone's door is only $1200.
