I huge thank you to Anthony F for selling this piece to me! I can get over I was given the opportunity to own another page from a major first appearance in Valiant�s history.

This is the first panel appearance of Gunslinger (along with Maniac and Shakespeare) who was always a favorite of mine.

And I am happy to get to post this up here on what would have been my dad�s birthday.

Nice piece from the good old 1990s, longtime Vampirella artist Mayo as the inker is quite bizarre !

Wow, I did not know that. What time frame did he work on Vampirella?

Gonzalo started drawing Vampirella at Warren in 1973 (within her first 4 years). He continued illustrating her into the 80s and a bit in the 90s for Harris. Along with Jose Gonzalez, Mayo was one of her main 70s artists.

Awesome first appearance, this was a memorable issue, with a classic superhero fight intro!
