What a great throwback in 2008 to give Romita Sr. a proper cover piece on the title he's best known for. He was 78, but was still looking strong here.

How can anyone not enjoy a John Romita Sr. cover? Even a late one like this? John Romita Sr. was one of main reasons Spider-Man became as popular as he did. John is one of those artists that really made a difernece. I can't imagine Spider-Man without all his contributions. Even here, in one of his later drawings, he's still inventing new layouts. Love this pose--It's not like any other Romita drawing I can recall. John was always finding new ways to show Spidey. He really was one of my favorite Marvel artists ever. Great pick-up, congrats!
