Description

Unwritten was a cool concept for a story, and it had great characters. My favorite character was Pauly. If you're not familiar with the story I won't go into details and spoil it for you, so don't worry. My favorite art throughout the entire series are the issues done in ink wash, like the one shown here. It looks so gritty, and even though it's the same artist(Peter Gross), it's done in a style different than the rest of the series. After the colors were added by Christopher Chuckry it looked even better. This page tries to show the size and scope of the stairway this group of animals are climbing. I love how Pauly(the rabbit) looks with his striped top hat, vest, and weapons. I liked the dialog on this page so much I asked Peter Gross to add the dialog bubbles to the page. He put paper speech bubbles, with the dialog in them, on the page. I actually bought this directly from Peter Gross, and emailed him a few times. I was trying to get another page from this same issue, but he couldn't part with it. In all fairness, I can't blame him. The piece I wanted is amazing, and I wouldn't have sold it either, but hopefully one of these days I'll be able to convince him to let it go. This is my second favorite page from that issue, and I feel lucky to have gotten it.
