Description

I owned this page from about 1982-1995ish. (give or take a year)
I bought it for 60.00 and traded it for about a thousand.
Unfortunately, I saw it sell on Heritage a couple years ago for about 11 thousand.

Sigh......

I hear ya, hindsight is 20/20....I have some pages that I sold for $50-100 that then went for thousands. Very sad...

Yeah....what can you do.... But....at least we had them for a while (for whatever consolation that's worth...)

Take heart my friend. For a brief yet beautiful time you were the caretaker of a major league art creation.Money is money but art for the sake of art...I can say truly you had great taste!!

Yeah...I think money only came/comes into it in that, at the time, I got nervous having a thousand dollar page laying around and now...realizing I can't afford to buy back what I had. But, like you said, I got to have it for a decade or so....so, that doesn't suck.

and just to rub a little more salt in the wound: it's probably worth even more today than the $11k it sold for

Ha....yeah. I guess the lesson learned is if you're a person with a normal income (where you can't just buy and sell stuff like this every day), and you find yourself fortunate enough to wind up with something like this, you have to almost ignore the dollar value and just take good care of it and enjoy it. Until your kids start college, I suppose.....

Just remember, no one ever went broke making a profit....

Ha!....true.....(at least in a case like this....) But...it's still more about having let something go that I can't afford to buy back.
