Description

Enric (Enric Torres-Prat) illustration original art published in 1961 by Consul Books as cover for «The Case of the Cautious Coquette», paperback novel by Erle Stanley Gardner.

Acrylic on cardboard, mounted on heavy cardboard, with an overall size of 10,63 x 14.76 inches (27 x 37,5 cm). Signed «Enrique» and dated. Probably one of the first artworks done for Selecciones Ilustradas Agency.

This illustration was used later, in 1984, as cover for Thriller #5 (Toutain Editor, Spain). The current original painting and that ones used in 1961 and 1984 are the same, but they differ in the color of the woman's hair and certain brushstrokes, so it can be deduced that at some point someone introduced retouches in the work for editorial purposes.
