At last, the real thing!

Last time I talked about Luciano Bottaro's was when I acquired 3 consecutive pages of a Pepito story that finally turned out not to be by him, but by G�rard Lellbach...

This time, after ten years of searching, I have finally found a true and tested Pepito page by the Rapallo Master, himself! And, what a page it is!...

Published in 1958 in the first series of "large size" Pepito magazines, this is a highly dynamic page with fun-packed action at breakneck speed!

The four main characters of the series are there, in classic stances, but some moments are truly unique! On the third panel, the antique rifle shooting throws the soldier backwards in a genuine burlesque/silent movie move. Also, on the last panel, Ventempoupe's portrait as he dives into the chimney with his face covered with soot, is really something, with some fantastic ink and paint work!

Truly worth the wait! And heartfelt thanks to who helped me finalize my quest!
