Don't worry for poor ol Firestorm. He may have just died, but knowing comics he will be resurrected two issues later!!!

What a wimp. He should have made NYC a nuclear wasteland when he exploded. Didn't he read Kingdom Come when Captain Atom got cut open and irradiated the entire midwest?

Congrats on this terrific (the more appropriate adjective "killer" has been already used) splash! The inks are just great and remind me of master Nowlan's!

Powerful and dramatic splash! Been a Barrows fan for a while now. Hope I can land something this nice when I finally get my example.

A great Firestorm image! Even the Captain Marvel and Shining Knight images are great. Barrows is awesome!

Now that's a stunnning page one splash--Firestorm killed by a mystic sword thruse through the heart by....Say, who was that sword-wielding killer and where did they go? I always love these kinds of cliff-hanging endings...especially when they happen at the beginning. Fabulous art by the amazing Eddy Barrows, with fantastic inks by the incredible Rob Stull. Love the composition of this page with the action scene front and center and anxious witnesses like Shazam down below. The inks are particularly strong here, with the lighting all provided by the flaming sword and Firestorms' own flaming head. Very dramatic pick-up, congrats!
